Conwy Youth Council is a group of young people (aged 11 to 25ish) who aim to provide all of the young people who live in Conwy county with an opportunity to have a say on things which affect you. This is a great chance to meet other young people from Conwy and have a real influence on the way things are run in the county.

Conwy youth Council worked with North Wales Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and Betsi Cadwaladr health board to create this online resource


Bullying and Hate Crime

One of Conwy’s Youth Council reps helped create this video to fight the use of the word Gay in a negative way in their school.

Healthy Relationships

Conwy’s Youth Council are working with School Nurses, GPs and other health professionals. We are trying to find out what young people think about sexual health services and education. We have survey over 300 young people in the county and are working on the results which we will share in the next few months.

Children’s Rights Scheme

Conwy County Borough Council has adopted the UNCRC and are committed to upholding children’s rights in everything they do. The Youth Council are helping to create a children’s rights scheme which will become a mandatory part of the decision making process across the council.

Young Wales launched on Friday 27th March with young people from forums across Wales meeting in Newtown to decide their priorities for the year.
